Retail centre will be built at Jumeirah Village Triangle
Local developer Nakheel has appointed Lebanons Dar al-Handasah as the consultant for its new retail and entertainment centre at its Juemirah Village Triangle development in Dubai.
Dar al-Handasah will provide design, engineering and supervision services for the project. The construction contract will be tendered in the first quarter of 2015, and the mall is due to be completed in the second quarter of 2017.
The 185,000-square-metre mall will have a multi-screen cinema, a supermarket, department stores, and cafes and restaurants, together with parking.
Dar al-Handasah was the engineering consultant for the infrastructure at Jumeirah Village when the development first started in 2005.
Dar al-Handasah has worked on several other Nakheel projects, including The Pointe at Palm Jumeirah, the Dragon Mart extension and nearly 3,000 villas which make up the Nakheels Jumeirah Park residential community.
Nakheel is also planning a 46,000 sq m shopping mall at its Jumeirah Village Circle development.
