Work covers construction of roads and preparation of villa plots
Local developer Nakheel has awarded a AED120m ($32m) contract to the local Target & Jima Construction Company for infrastructure work at the Al-Furjan development in Dubai.
The work covers the construction of 16 kilometres of roads and the preparation of nearly 500 third-party villa plots in Al-Furjan phase two. The 16-month contract is due to start by the end of October.
In July, Nakheel awarded local contractor Metac a AED44m deal for the construction of a new 10,000-square-metre retail and recreation centre at Al-Furjan. The centre will contain 24 shops, including a 3,000 sq-m supermarket, plus 10 cafes and restaurants. It will also have a swimming pool, gym, a sports court and parking for 360 cars.
