
Development will cover an area of about 230,000 square metres
- Nakheel awards three contracts involving Nad al-Sheba villa community

Local developer Nakheel has awarded three contracts for work on its Nad al-Sheba villa community in Dubai.
Abu Dhabi-based Trojan General Contracting was awarded a AED830m ($226m) contract for package one, which is made up of 489 villas.
The second contract, for 482 villas, which was valued at AED789m, was awarded to the local United Engineering Construction (UNEC).
Finally, the AED781m contract for package three, which covers the construction of 468 villas, was awarded to Abu Dhabi-based Metac General Contracting.
The AED2.5bn ($681m) development will cover an area of about 230,000 square metres, and comprise 900 three-to-five-bedroom villas for lease and 100 resort-style serviced villas, all with private swimming pools. A hotel operator will manage the serviced villas.
The development will have a range of onsite facilities for residents, including a club house and retail centre with shops, cafes, a community pool and sports courts.
The local Arif & Bintoak Consulting Architects & Engineers was awarded a AED27m contract in 2014 to provide design and engineering services on the project.
