Dubai developer leases retail space in Jumeirah Village Circle
Dubai developer Nakheel has started leasing 121,000 square metres of shopping, dining and entertainment space at its latest development in the Jumeirah Village Circle community in Dubai.
Covering a total area of 304,800 sq m, The Circle Mall will have 200 shops, a multi-screen cinema and a variety of dining outlets, including a food court.
Dar al-Handasah will undertake the design, engineering and supervision services for the project with a construction tender expected in the first quarter 2015 and a projected completion date in 2017.
Nakheel currently has more than 600,000 sq m of leasable area in its retail project pipeline.
Last month, the company fully leased 5,300 outlets at its Deira Islands Night Souk 1,000 shops at Warsan Souk near International City.
New malls under way by Nakheel include Nakheel Mall on Palm Jumeirah, Deira Islands Mall, The Circle Mall at Jumeirah Village Circle and a mall at neighbouring Jumeirah Village Triangle.
The developer is also expanding its Dragon Mart and Ibn Battuta Malls, and bringing six new neighbourhood retail centres.
