National ChevronPhillips awards three compressors contracts

Florence-based GE Oil & Gas has won a contract to supply three compression trains for the National ChevronPhillips olefins and styrene complex in Jubail.

GE will supply cracked gas, propylene refrigerant and binary refrigerant compressors.
The multi-billion-dollar NCP complex consists of a world-scale ethylene cracker, two polyethylene units, a polypropylene plant and a styrene facility.
Japan’s JGC Corporation and South Korea’s Daelim Industrial Company are in line for the main process packages on the project. The Houston office of Australia’s WorleyParsons is the front-end engineering and design contractor (MEED 14:11:07).
