Finland’s Neste Jacobs has been awarded a long-term contract by Abu Dhabi Polymers Company (Borouge) to provide engineering, project management and consultancy services to the chemicals group.

The contract includes support services connected with the implementation of projects and services related to the development of process, automation and plant performance.

Neither the financial details nor the length of the contract were disclosed by Neste Jacobs, which announced the deal.

Borouge, a joint venture of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) and Austria’s Borealis, is in the process of expanding its petrochemicals complex in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi to a capacity of 4.5 million tonnes a year.
