New prices submitted for Four Seasons

01 April 2004
Seven local and international contractors bidding for the main package on the estimated $50 million Beirut Four Seasons hotel submitted revised prices for the contract on 19 March.

The client, Saudi Prince Awaleed's Kingdom Development Company (Kadco), asked for the new prices in order to compare alternative proposals submitted by a number of the bidders in their 8 December bids, which are understood to range between $51 million-58 million.

The centrepiece of the main package is a 90-metre-high structure, which will house the 300-room hotel. The consultant on the project is Beirut-based Dar al-Handasah (Shair & Partners -MEED 12:12:03).
