The government has requested the supply of equipment for the local assembly of 13 armoured heavy recovery vehicles from the US. Valued at $73 million, the M88-A2 vehicles will support the existing fleet of locally assembled M1-A1 main battle tanks. The vehicles can be used for towing, wrecking and evacuation of heavy tanks and tracked combat vehicles. The prime contractor will be Un ited Defense Limited Partnership.
