Dubai-based Nakheel is moving ahead with plans to convert the QE2 into a seven-star hotel and has no plans to sell the ship, reported Khaleej Times, citing an interview with the official responsible for renovating the ship. A recent report by online shipping news agency Maritime Matters cited 'sources close to Nakheel' who claimed that original plans to convert the liner had been dumped and the ship could be put up for sale.
