Mobile phone giant Nokia plans to release an Intel- and Microsoft-based PC netbook, tapping into the fast growing market. The Nokia Booklet 3G will use Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 7 OS and Intel’s Atom processor to offer up to 12 hours of battery life, with a weight of 1.25 kilograms. Detailed specifications, market availability and pricing will be announced in early September Nokia said. Low-cost, low-powered netbooks are the fastest growing segment of the consumer PC industry.
