Norwegian oil services firm signs as sole supplier for Egypt’s Bapetco Western Desert operations
Norway-based oilfield services group Aker Solutions has won a contract to supply wellhead equipment to Egyptian oil group Badr Petroleum Company (Bapetco).
The two companies signed a two-year frame agreement, contracting Aker as the sole supplier of wellhead equipment, installation and lifecycle services to all Bapetco’s operations in the Western Desert of Egypt.
The equipment will be manufactured at Aker’s surface product plants in Batam, Indonesia. Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
Last week, Aker said it had won a $17m contract to supply surface equipment to Tatwar Petroleum’s Awali oilfield project in Bahrain.
