Nurol wins canal contract at Shams Abu Dhabi

Turkey's Nurol been awarded a contract worth AED100m ($27m) to build canals and bridges at the Shams Abu Dhabi development on Reem island.

The contract adds to the AED223m ($61m) package awarded to the company last year to build 13 bridges.

Meanwhile Greece’s Athena was awarded an estimated AED63m marine works contract last year for a two-kilometre-long sea wall and a marina.

Local developer Sorouh Real Estate is the client (MEED 5:5:07).
