Located in phase two of Dubai Healthcare City, the project is worth AED1.2bn ($327m).
Project consultant Saudi-based Zuhair Fayez Partnership Consultants is drawing up a shortlist of five prequalified contractors for the work. The tender is expected to be issued in June or July. The development is awaiting approval from the land owner Tecom.
Construction is expected to take two years and be completed in mid-2010.
Local property developer Tatweer, part of Dubai Holding, launched the estimated AED4bn phase two of Dubai Healthcare City in June 2006. The 1.7 million square metre development is located on the banks of Dubai creek alongside Al-Wasl Hospital on Oud Methar road (MEED 30:06:08).
