Local contractor seals $73.6m maintenance deal
The local O&G Engineering General Trading & Contracting Company has been approved for a long term contract worth KD20.8m ($73.6m) contract to provide maintenance and repair services for Kuwait’s gas pipelines network.
The deal was approved by the Central Tenders Committee (CTC), the government body which oversees Kuwait’s major public tenders. Bids were submitted in August 2012.
This is the second win in a row for O&G, which won the last contract in 2008 for the gas pipeline maintenance deal that is tendered every five years by state-upstream operator, Kuwait Oil Company (KOC).
