Contractors to drill four exploratory wells in Sirte Basin
Oil India has approached contractors to qualify for two drilling contracts as part of its plan to drill four exploratory wells in Area 86 of Libya’s Sirte Basin.
Oil India is the operator of the concession as part of a consortium with Indian Oil Corporation.
The first contract covers civil engineering services for the construction of a drilling location, an approach road and associated services for a land drilling rig.
The second contract is for water well drilling to an expected depth of 400 metres.
Contractors must have at least three years of drilling experience or may form a consortium with a more experienced partner. Firms are required to submit interest by 7 October.
