Dubai-based Landmark Group is in talks with Oman’s health ministry to get approval to launch mobile diabetes care units in the Sultanate by next year, Times of Oman has reported. The move is part of a nation-wide campaign to detect and create awareness about diabetes in the country. “The idea of introducing a mobile unit is to make sure awareness reaches the interiors too,” Clive Freeman, territory head, Landmark Group - Oman, told the daily. The campaign is scheduled to kick off on November 12 with a walkathon and free blood glucose screening.
