The newly formed company announced plans to develop Oman’s first integrated light industries park

Oman’s Sandan Development has launched a 250,000-square-metre industrial park near Muscat, according to a company statement.

The newly formed company announced plans to develop Oman’s first integrated light industries park at an estimated cost of RO100m ($259.7m).

The Sandan Industrial Park will include 2,300 workshops and showrooms for building materials and the automotive sector, 450 offices and 1,400 residential units for workers, said the statement.

Units will be offered on direct sale and buyers will also have the opportunity to pay in interest-free instalments over 18 months.

Following the official launch, Sandan Development made available units for sale, which attracted several local and regional investors, according to a company statement. As many as 50 automobile showrooms were sold before the launch, according to the company.
