Oman expects to open at least three new hotel developments over the next two years.
According to Abdul Wahid al-Farsi, vice president external affairs, Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran) hotels projects in Duqm, Jebal al-Akhdar, and Khasab are nearing completion.
“The Crowne Plaza at Duqm will open at the end of this year,” said Al-Farsi at MEED’s Oman Investment Forum 2012 on 8 October. Omranawarded a OR16.7m ($43.3m) contract to the local Galfar Engineering & Contracting Company to build the hotel in 2010.
