Winner will build an extension to Education Ministry’s headquarters in Bausher

Oman’s Education Ministry has invited companies to submit bids for the contract to build a new government building in Bausher, Muscat.

The work will involve the construction and maintenance of the new National Career Guidance centre, which will be an extension to the Education Ministry’s headquarters building.

Contractors have until 21 March to submit bids for the main construction package. The career centre is the second government building project in Bausher to be tendered in recent months.

In October, Oman’s Export Credit Guarantee Agency received bids from 12 groups to build office buildings at Airport Heights in Bausher.

The development will be located next to Muscat International Airport.

The local Al-Rawahi International Company submitted the lowest bid with a price of OR2.75m ($7.3m). The local Nafal Contracting & Trading submitted the second lowest bid with a price of OR2.76m.The third lowest bid of OR2.8m was submitted by the local Al-Hajiry Trading (MEED 21:11:10).
