Oman's transport and communications ministry has allocated OR50m for a radio frequency spectrum release plan that aims at supporting the telecoms sector across the country, Muscat Daily has reported. The move aims to promote communication services and meet the growing demand to cover all the governorates in the Sultanate, and attract new generation wireless networks and other terminals to the Omani market to keep pace with development in the region, the ministry said.
