Omanis spent $236m on e-commerce in 2008

Some 40% of internet users in Oman bought products online in 2008, spending $236m, according to an Arab Advisors group survey. The number, the group estimates, equates to around 158,000 people or 5.62% of Oman's total population. The research, which was conducted among 696 internet users in the country, also found that 27% were using Voice over IP to make phone calls.
