Training sessions on credit bureau system held ahead of first-quarter opening
Banks have attended training sessions on how to use the UAEs new credit bureau system ahead of its launch, which is scheduled before the end of March.
The new Al-Etihad Credit Bureau will provide credit reports and other financial information on UAE consumers.
The bureau will be welcomed by the banking sector, which is keen to have access to better credit information on potential customers. It is also expected to ensure banks lend in a more responsible way.
All the UAEs retail banks are currently submitting data to the bureau, which will help the organisation generate credit reports.
