Etihad Airways, the UAE's national carrier, is expecting to have transported six million passengers by the end of 2008, the group's CEO James Hogan told AME Info. Hogan also said that Etihad would be a $2.5bn company by year-end. In reference to the current economic climate Hogan said: 'This is undisputedly a tough period, but we will work through it. Over 52% of our traffic is destined for Abu Dhabi so we are definitely going in the right direction.'
