Overseas Ast starts work on Bateen Marina project

06 November 2008
The local Overseas Ast has started work on the marine works package for the Bateen Marina project on Abu Dhabi island.

The work involves dredging and the installation of a quay wall around the first section of the project, which is on the western shore of Abu Dhabi island, overlooking Hodeiryat island.

Overseas Ast is working for the master developer, the local Tourism Development and Investment Company.

UK-based Halcrow is the consultant for the marine works. Singapore’s Surbana prepared the masterplan.

Three private developers, Belbadi Emirates, Emirates International Investment Corporation and International Capital Trading, will develop hotels at the site (MEED 11:12:07).
