Jordan’s University of Yarmouk has signed a memorandum of understanding with the local government of Malaysia’s Pahang state for the creation of the Pahang Chair at the university, Bernama news agency has reported. The Pahang Chair would open up a wider space and opportunity for Malaysian students to further their studies at the masters and doctorate levels in Jordan. Currently, there are 400 Malaysian students studying at the University of Yarmouk in various disciplines.
