Prequalification. Re-strengthening and improvement of an intake/outfall channel and pumphouse. The works comprise: phase 1) dredging of an intake channel, silt removal, protection of channel bank and shore with precast block construction of an increased height of head wall and wing wall; phase 2) corrosion inhibiting treatment and protection of operating floor under seawater conditions requiring synchronisation of execution with tidal levels and involving dredging, barging and launching by cranes. Special items of anchoring underpinning, corrosion cleansing, provision of corrosion inhibiting mixture, application of epoxy mortar or injection of epoxy resin etc are also involved. Contractors may bid for one or both phases.
