Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB) has reported a 40 per cent rise in profits for 1993. Assets at the privatised bank grew by over 18 per cent to $3,050 million. MCB's accounts show a $264.3 million profit for the year before tax. During the year, authorised capital doubled to $66.47 million. Issued, subscribed and paid-in capital stood at $22.02 million on 31 December 1993, compared with $19.15 million the previous year.
