The Oil & Gas Development Corporation (OGDC) has invited companies to prequalify for gas development work in Sind. The project will extend the capacity of gas facilities in the Qadirpur field, which is operated by OGDC.
The facilities have a capacity of 235 million cubic feet a day (mcf/d) of gas and include a gas processing and purification plant and a pipeline gathering system. OGDC is seeking to appoint an engineering, procurement and construction contractor to expand the facilities to produce 400 mcf/d. The completed scheme will also produce 800 barrels a day (b/d) of condensate and 2,000 b/d of water.
Prequalified bidders will be required to offer financing equivalent to 75 per cent of the foreign currency cost of the project. OGDC says it expects to appoint a contractor by the end of the year (see Tenders).
