Work will involve providing consultancy and supervision for minor roads in the southern Doha area

US-based Parsons International has been awarded a five-year contract by Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) to provide consultancy and supervision services for all local road and infrastructure projects in the Doha South area.

Parsons work will involve planning, coordination, design, construction procurement and construction supervision for new minor roads and drainage networks, as well as upgrades to existing minor roads. The US firm will also provide post-contract quantity surveying services for local roads and drainage projects in the Doha South area. The total size of the area that will be developed is about 49 million square metres.

“Our first project in Qatar started in 1961 when we performed a groundwater study, and we look forward to continuing to work with Ashghal as a trusted partner for the future development of the country,” says Guy Mehula, president for Middle East and North Africa, Parsons.
