The 230-kilometre-long multi-products pipeline will link Ruwais with Mussafah and Abu Dhabi city (MEED 17:8:07).
The study will determine the type and number of pipelines, the route, the optimum capacity, and an initial budget. It will be developed further by a front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract, expected to be tendered in April once the feasibility study is completed.
The local Dodsal won the IRPs first pipeline in 2005. The work involved two pipelines from Ruwais to Mussafah and Umm al-Nar to Ruwais. The FEED contractor on that scheme was Engineers India Limited. The project manager was Tebodin of the Netherlands (MEED 1:4:05).
