UAE-based Petrofac International has won a Eur291m ($454m) contract to build a gas treatment plant for the local/Croatian Hayan Petroleum Company (HPC).
Under the terms of the three-year, lump-sum contract, Petrofac will build the plant at the Jihar field located in the Hayan block. The work covers the engineering, procurement and construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning, and start-up of the gas processing facilities.
In addition to the plant, Petrofac will build a liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) recovery system, an LPG storage and loading facility, gas gathering and collection systems, satellite gathering station, well sites, flow lines, utilities and offsite facilities, gathering pipelines and living quarters.
HPC is a joint stock company owned equally by state-owned Syrian Petroleum Company and Industrija Nafte Naftaplin (MEED 29:06:07).
