Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical Company (PetroRabigh) is carrying out unplanned maintenance on the vacuum distillation unit (VDU) at its complex on the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia.

The company, a joint venture between Saudi Aramcoand Japan’s Sumitomo Chemical, said the VDU will be out of operation until 10 May. It also said that an accurate financial impact assessment will not be possible until a later date.
