As well as hoping to attract new bidders, sources at PSPA say the new tender will be sent to the 12 firms that bid in the original tender. They included Denmark's Niras International, US-based Harris, Japan's Pacific Consultants International, Rotterdam Maritime Group, Kuwait's National Kharafi and Germany's Inros Lackner. PSPA is also in the final stages of negotiations with Denmark's AP Moller Group/Maersk for the contract to build a 1,200-metre-long quay wall, which will expand capacity from 1.6 million containers a year to 5 million.
