$197m contract for 750km of flowlines and 160 wellheads
Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Operations (Adco) has awarded India’s Punj Lloyd an engineering, procurement and design (EPC) contract for tie-in works at the Sahil, Asab and Shah fields.
Under the $197m contract, Punj Lloyd will construct 750 kilometres of flowlines and 160 wellheads connecting the fields.
Work is scheduled to be completed over three years.
The contract is part of upgradation works at the fields, where Adco is looking to boost production by 150,000 barrels a day (b/d) to 600,000 b/d.
UK contractor Petrofac has been signed up to undertake the EPC work for the Asab field, Athens-based Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) and Spanish Tecnicas Reunidas are doing EPC work for the Sahil field.
