Qatar flag-carrier launches flights to Najaf in Iraq
Qatar Airways has introduced flights to the Iraqi city of Najaf, adding to the airline’s existing Iraq routes to Erbil and Baghdad.
The Doha-based airline only moved into Iraq in mid-2012, attracted by the country’s reconstruction drive.
Following the launch of its third route, Qatar Airways has also increased its frequency across Baghdad, Erbil and Najaf by 50 per cent offering 12 services a week.
The Najaf route will operate four times a week using Airbus A320 aircraft.
Over the coming months, Qatar Airways will launch services to Phnom Penh in Cambodia, Chengdu in China, Chicago in the US and Salalah in Oman.
