Qatar Airways expands route network with flights to Ankara and Tokyo

Service to Sydney also planned this year

Qatar Airways has announced that it will begin flights to Tokyo, Ankara and Bengaluru (Bangalore) this year.

The airline will start flying daily to the Indian city of Bengaluru in February, taking the carrier’s number of flights to India to 71 per week.

Flights to the Turkish capital of Ankara will begin in April, with four flights each week, and daily flights to Tokyo via Osaka will start at the end of April.

Qatar Airways is also due to start two new routes to Europe, to Copenhagen and Barcelona, at the end of March.

The carrier also plans to start operating flights to Sydney this year (MEED 09:01:10).
