Qatar Airways to increase flights to Germany

The airline plans to fly to 120 destinations by 2013

Qatar Airways plans to increase the number of flights it operates to Germany to 35 flights a week.

Currently, the airline operates 21 flights a week to Germany. It is not yet clear when the additional flights will be added to the schedule.

The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority and the German Civil Aviation Authority signed the new agreement in July, which updates the original agreement that was signed in 1996.

Qatar Airways currently has $40bn worth of new aircraft that is pending delivery (MEED 4:5:10).

Total new aircraft on order include 80 Airbus A350 aircraft, 60 Boeing 787 aircraft, 15 Boeing 777 aircraft, 20 Airbus A320 aircraft and five Airbus A380-800 aircraft.

The carrier is expanding its fleet to accommodate long-term plans to expand its network to 120 destinations by 2013.
