Local contractor will carry out road improvement works for Al-Kheesa north
Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has awarded the local Aswan Trading & Contracting Company a QR119m ($32.7m) contract for road improvement works in the Al-Dayeen area of Doha.
Ashgal awarded the contract on 12 July. The road improvement works include grading works for Al-Kheesa north.
The project is part of Qatar’s plans to invest $20bn on new roads and related drainage and infrastructure in the next five years.
The work involves the construction of part of the Doha Expressway, together with work on the second phase of the Salwa road (MEED 3:6:10).
