The Qatar Exchange (QE) declined 0.33% to finish at 7,770.34 points. All sector indices posted losses, as investors booked profits at those stocks which performed well on a year-to-date basis, e. g. Doha Bank (down 0.37% at QR53.20). Despite the slight correction phase in the last days, Kuwaits' Global Investment House (Global) is positive in the QE's future development. "The Qatar Exchange is to be included in early 2011 into STFI network, which links local brokers to US and European markets, hence providing more liquidity", a study on the QE, publiched by Global, says. NYSE Euronext holds a 20% share in QE and the 80% are held by Qatar Holding.
