Profits at the company were up 16 per cent from QR514.2m for the same period in the previous year. Earnings per share rose from QR5.14 to QR5.96.
The figures were released in a statement to the Doha Securities Market on 16 October. QEWC did not give a reason for the rise in profits.
QEWC is 43 per cent owned by the government.
