Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has invited bids from contractors for a sewage networks project.
The new network will serve the Al-Nassriya and Garaffa areas. The chosen contractor will supply and construct about 18 kilometres of sewers of 200 millimetres in diameter by open-cut trench.
The work also includes the installation of 620 manholes and about 950 house connections with 11km of 150-millimetre diameter lateral connections.
About 2 kilometres of microtunnelling work will also be undertaken. The diameter will be 400 millimetres. Contractors have until 1 November to submit bids.
