Project management services needed for construction of new hospital

Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has invited companies to pre-qualify for a contract to provide project and construction management consultancy services for a new medical city.

The new facility, which will include a 1,100 bed trauma mass casualty hospital, is to be built next to Qatar University.

The scope of work will include project and construction management, design management, constructability reviews, commercial management, contract management, and project controls.

Applicants must demonstrate relevant experience, capabilities, understanding and commitment to the work with Ashghal to achieve the expected delivery and standard of services.

The project is slated to start in the first quarter of 2015, with completion set for 2022.

In April, Asghal invited companies to prequalify for the main construction contract for the New Doha Zoo project.

The scope of work involves construction of utilities, landscaping, animal exhibits and support buildings, hotels, a gondola system, river ride attraction, and a bridge.
