Contractors have until 7 August to submit bids for construction contract
Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has invited contractors to submit bids for the contract to build a health centre in Madinat Umm Salal, located about 15 kilometres north of the capital city of Doha.
Contractors have until 7 August to submit bids for the construction package. The work will involve the construction of the health centre plus medical equipment and ancillary buildings. The medical facilities will include a gymnasium, massage rooms, laboratories and various clinics.
The health centre will also contain a conference room, offices and cafeteria. The ancillary facilities will include a swimming pool, mosque, guard rooms and substation. The work will take an estimated 18 months to complete.
The health centre is the latest of a number of public building projects that Ashghal has tendered in 2012. It recently received bids for the contract to build a commercial centre in Doha. The commercial building will contain two basement floors, ground floor with arcade and two floors with a total built-up area of 62,265 square metres. The contract will also include the required electromechanical works.
