Qatar launches healthcare fund regulator

Qatar's Supreme Council of Health (SCH) has launched the Qatar Health Accounts (QHA), an initiative to monitor and regulate allocation of funds in the public and private healthcare sectors in the country, the Peninsula has reported. National health accounts are a set of accounts that describe all expenditure flows within the health sector, both governmental and non-governmental. They describe sources of funding, financing agents, use of funds, and beneficiaries of funds. The QHA was established in line with the National Health Accounts (NHA) programme of the World Health Organisation (WHO).
