Qatar Petroleum invites bids for Ras Laffan water work

Winning firm to provide engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning services

Qatar Petroleum has invited bids from seven shortlisted companies to provide services for a water and sewerage distribution network to serve continuing developments at the western extension of Ras Laffan Industrial City.

The winning bidder will provide engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning services. The contract covers drinking water, fire water and sewerage services.

The shortlisted firms are India’s Larsen & Toubro, the UK’s Kentz Group, the local Galfar Al-Misnad, the local Gulf Housing & Construction Company (GCC), the local Petroserv, Turkey’s Turklerer and UK-based Bemco.

The companies have until 28 February to submit bids. The prices are set be opened in early March.
