Qatar Petroleum tenders Mesaieed infrastructure

06 August 2008
Qatar Petroleum (QP) has invited companies to bid by 14 September for the contract to rebuild roads and infrastructure in Mesaieed.

The scope covers 38.9 kilometres of roads, including the construction of new roads and junctions, and upgrading and widening existing roads.

Other infrastructure works include the installation of networks, facilities, equipment and apparatus for other utilities such as the state-run Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) and telecoms firm Qtel.

QP is also planning a much larger road project that will provide a strategic link between Qatar's industrial sites at Mesaieed, Dukhan and Ras Laffan (MEED 13:6:08).
