Qatar receives bids for cleaning complex

Ashghal received bids on 19 June for facility on the outskirts of Doha

The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has received bids for the contract to build a general cleaning complex at Mesaimeer, on the outskirts of Doha.

Ashghal received bids from contractors on 19 June. The general cleaning project will cover a total area of 90,000 square metres and will contain integrated facilities for government cleaning equipment and accommodation for employees.

The project will contain a refuse equipment area, six diesel stations including fuel distribution systems, 11 truck and bus parking sheds and a store room for tools and spares. In addition to the cleaning facilities, the complex will contain residences and related amenities. It will include accommodation for labourers, junior accommodation and family quarters. The scheme will also contain a restaurant and supermarket.

Ashghal has extended the bid deadline for another building project, a commercial centre in Doha. Contractors now have until 3 July to submit bids for the tender. The previous submission date was 19 June. The commercial building will contain two basement floors, ground floor with arcade and two floors with a total built-up area of 62,265 square metres. The contract will also include the required electromechanical works.
