Qatar's Supreme Council for Information and Communication Technology (ictQatar) has announced it is creating a secure Government Network to address the need for a safe and reliable data exchange between government agencies, businesses and citizens. The network will primarily benefit the health and education sectors, where information exchange will be much faster and more secure. Many of the e-government services currently available through Hukoomi and other government websites, will be hosted on a common network infrastructure, allowing for a more responsive and cohesive online government.
