Description: Lusail City is the realisation of Qatar’s vision for the future, as an iconic development that celebrates the country’s cultural and geographical heritage. Planned for completion prior to Doha’s hosting of football’s World Cup in 2022, the city will accommodate 80,000 visitors and 200,000 residents.

Lusail City construction package 2 covers roads and infrastructure work in an area totalling about 180 hectares at the centre of the Lusail project, known as Foxhill North and Foxhill South. Six varieties of roads are to be built in a 24-kilometre radius, as well as a 32km drinking water and firefighting network, 23km of wastewater facilities and 52km of stormwater networks.

The package includes the construction of two 66/11kV substations and 31 11/0.415kV distribution substations. One of Lusail City’s major assets is its location on Khor highway, with access to the Qotaifan lagoon, Doha city and the Doha airport. Inside the city, a road network has been developed that connects with the Khor highway and beyond.
