UK contractor to build wastewater recycling and reduction facilities for four liquefied natural gas trains
Qatargas Operating Company (Qatargas) has awarded the UKs Kentz a $125m engineering, procurement, installation, construction and commissioning (EPICC) contract for wastewater recycling and reduction facilities for four liquefied natural gas (LNG) trains.
The start-up of the facilities is expected to be in 2016 and the work will be carried out at Qatargas LNG complex at Ras Laffan in the north of Qatar. Kentz said in a statement that 440 staff and field personnel would be employed on the scheme.
Qatar Petroleum (QP) awarded Kentz a $250m deal in November 2013 for the installation of supervisory control and data acquisition (Scada) and cathodic protection systems for its onshore Dukhan oil field.
